Pavel Aguilar

Pavel Aguilar is a Basel-based artist who works transdisciplinarily at the nexus of music and visual arts. His work focuses primarily on post-colonialism and migration. He uses the visual representation of sound to convey reflections on Latin America's complex socio-political history as well as its diaspora.
His work is included in a number of public collections, such as the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín (MAMM), the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá (MAMBO) in Colombia and Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo de San José, Costa Rica.

Daniel Benyamin

Daniel Benyamin is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and composer. He began touring at the age of 17 with numerous band projects. Since then, he has played over 2000 concerts in 35 countries, mainly solo and with his bands SEA + AIR and JUMBO JET.
In his compositions, he not only combines various musical genres, but is in the process of creating his own genre: Ghost Pop.
In addition to music for contemporary dance pieces, he has composed soundtracks for film and television (including the German series “Tatort”) and has won several important music awards, including GEMA's German Music Authors Prize.

Zar Monta Cola

Zar Monta Cola is a Leipzig-based multi-instrumentalist who took his first musical steps in DIY punk. Even after more than 1000 concerts with over 40 bands, his joy in playing, experimenting and improvising is as strong as ever. Besides JOY, his other artistic collaborations in the area of contemporary dance include his participation as a drummer in 2017 for Ivo Serra's performance at the Leipzig P-Bodys Festival and, together with his ensemble Dōmu and SPE, in a 2020 audio-visual dance performance as part of “A Night in Blood Red.”

Mathieu Poterie

Mathieu Poterie is a French pianist and electronic producer living in Brittany. His compositions blend analog, digital and acoustic instruments. He draws his inspiration – ranging from electronic to orchestral music – from Thom Yorke, Clark, Aphex Twin, Steve Reich, Krzysztof Penderecki, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Guðnadóttir and others.
Mathieu composes and produces for ballets and dance performances, plays, documentaries and movies. He is also an experienced pianist in the field of classical and contemporary dance. He worked for several years at the National Ballet of Marseille, Preljocaj and at the dance conservatories of Paris, Aix-en-Provence and Nanterre.

COSTUME AND STAGE

Giulia Marcotullio

Giulia Marcotullio is a Swiss-Italian fashion designer based in Basel, Switzerland. In 2021, she completed her Bachelor’s degree at Atelier Chardon Savard in Berlin. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Design at FHNW Kunsthochschule Basel.
The world of dance and theatre fascinates Giulia; she completed a semester in scenography and worked in costume production for the 2022 productions of STIMMEN MEER (Theater Süd) and SULLE SPONDE DEL LAGO. Upcoming productions include ZER-BRECH-LICH for the Hanover State Opera and DIE FLUCHT DES DON QUIJOTE.
For SULLE SPONDE DEL LAGO, she designed costumes with sequins that reflect the dancers’ movements and transform the costume into a new “creature” during the piece.

Nicole Reiher

Nicole Reiher primarily creates her own collections for her fashion label Cosmicstarlight and is a freelance designer at WYST by Yaenniver. Based in Leipzig, she is a fashion tailor with additional training as a photographer, and has also traveled throughout Europe as a singer and instrumentalist. She specializes in designing and maintaining stage costumes.

Moran Sanderovich

Moran Sanderovich is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist. Her artistic work includes performance, sculpture, installations and drawings. Sanderovich studied at the School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem.
Her works have been exhibited in various museums, including Kunsthalle Mannheim, KunstHaus Potsdam, GRIMMWELT Museum in Kassel, the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt, GL Holtegaard Museum in Copenhagen, Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. She collaborates with various theatres, such as Maxim Gorki in Berlin, Staatstheater Hannover and Nationaltheater Mannheim, and presents her work at performance festivals and exhibitions around the world, including Festival D'Avignon 2022 and Mannheimer Sommer 2022.
